Jeff Rapsis, composer of the musical score for Dangerous Crosswinds, is a New Hampshire native who can be found playing keyboard and tuba in local pit orchestras and other ensembles. He also sings regularly with Granite State Opera, appearing most recently in the company’s productions of La Boheme, The Marriage of Figaro, and The Magic Flute. Rapsis is co-owner of HippoPress, the weekly arts and entertainment newspaper of Manchester and Nashua, for which he covers classical music and serves as Associate Publisher. As a journalist, Rapsis won first place honors in 2004 from the New Hampshire Press Association in two categories: investigative reporting and business writing. When not writing words or music, Rapsis continues to pursue his goal of running a 5K race in every New Hampshire city or town. The score for Dangerous Crosswinds was composed and performed on a Korg Triton LE digital synthesizer; the sheet music was generated with Finale notation software.
